Information for our patients
As a rule, you will be referred by your ophthalmologist to an affiliated physician at our clinic. This attending physician is also your surgeon. After a thorough examination, he or she will explain the further course of treatment to you and go over all open questions with you, as well as suggesting a date for the operation.
Whether you will be treated as an outpatient or as an inpatient depends on the type of therapy, your individual condition, and your expectations and wishes. In any case, you will be comprehensively cared for and carefully monitored by our nursing staff before and after the procedure. Your operating physician will inform you about the exact course of the operation and all related measures.
On the following pages you will read what you should bear in mind during outpatient or inpatient treatment in our clinic and how you can best support the success of the therapy and your stay.
